Our impact isn’t just in pounds of plastic: it’s in financial support, thriving ecosystems, and community pride.
By supporting local collectors and artisans in Guatemala, Tidey Ocean is cleaning coasts, creating jobs, and changing lives.

Our Efforts

The Maria Linda River is the most polluting river on the entire west coast of the American continents. Our local Guatemalan collectors are removing trash that would’ve entered this river and added to the plastic pollution in the Pacific Ocean.

Our Collectors

At Tidey Ocean, we know that the best way to fix ocean plastic is to start upstream: in the communities where it begins.
That means running cleanups, and protecting rivers… but also working in partnership with local people.

An elderly man wearing a black and white checkered shirt and a cap stands outdoors holding a large bag filled with empty plastic bottles and a soda can.

Silverio is 88 years old, but doesn’t let his age stop him from creating impact. He lives with XX children and grandchildren, and loves the opportunity to support them by collecting plastic.

Impact Your Customers Can Trust

We track every cleanup to show you exactly how each dollar is making an impact on oceans. Using BanQu’s blockchain-powered system we can show where, when, and by whom every pound of plastic was recovered.
